About the role

GrowthManager runs AI visibility as a managed service. Clients hand us a business and a domain; we research their market, publish pages that answer the questions their buyers actually ask an AI assistant, monitor whether those assistants start citing them, and send the leads to their inbox.

This role sits at the centre of that. You will research topics from scratch, decide what is actually true, write the pages, and watch what the AI platforms do with them. It is a research job that produces writing, not a writing job that occasionally googles something.

You will work with real client accounts from your first month, and you will speak to those clients. We are small, so there is no layer between the work and the person paying for it.

What you will do

  • Research a client's market, products, and competitors well enough to write about them without hedging.
  • Write pages and articles that answer a specific buying question, with claims you can defend if a client pushes back.
  • Verify every factual claim before it is published, including the ones the client gave you.
  • Track how ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Google AI Overviews respond to the queries that matter to each client, and work out why an answer changed.
  • Find and pursue the places worth being mentioned: relevant Reddit and Quora threads, industry roundups, comparison pages, directories.
  • Use AI tools throughout, and know exactly which parts of their output you are not willing to trust.
  • Keep clients informed on Slack and monthly calls, including when the honest answer is that a month was slow.

What we need

  • You can show us writing you researched yourself, published or not.
  • You can explain how you decide a source is reliable, and you have changed your mind about one.
  • You are comfortable being wrong in public and correcting it quickly.
  • You are in Bangalore, or moving here, and can work from the office five days a week.
  • You read carefully. Most of this job is noticing what a page does not say.

Useful, not required

  • Experience with SEO, content marketing, or journalism.
  • You have run your own blog, newsletter, or research project.
  • Familiarity with how LLMs retrieve and cite sources.
  • You have worked directly with clients before.

How the process runs

  1. 01Application, including two written questions. Around twenty minutes.
  2. 02Recorded interview, straight after you apply. Eight questions on camera, about fifteen minutes.
  3. 03A person on the team watches every answer alongside your application.
  4. 04A short paid assignment on a real research question.
  5. 05Conversation with the team in Bangalore.
  6. 06Offer.

The recorded interview is the same eight questions for everyone, which is the point: it is the only way we can compare people fairly rather than on how the conversation happened to go. A person watches every answer. Nothing is scored automatically.

Sound like your kind of work?

The application takes about twenty minutes, and the interview starts straight afterwards.
