    SparkToro V2 uses three primary data sources: clickstream panel data from Datos showing the online behavior of millions of real, opt-in mobile and desktop devices; search ranking and keyword data from MarketMuse aggregating approximately 100 million English-language search results; and profile data from social networks including LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, Reddit, and Instagram.
    Update frequency
    Using clickstream data from Datos, SparkToro can now report longer time-based trends. Demographics and audience data are continuously refreshed via the underlying panel.
    Scope and limits
    SparkToro's clickstream panel doesn't include every device on the planet and overweights profiles present on LinkedIn, meaning you'll generally see data about more educated, employed, and professional individuals, and the platform intentionally excludes data on anyone under 18.
    Technical approach
    When you enter a search, SparkToro identifies matching profiles, website visitation and keyword search data, and uses these to extract information about what else the audience does on the web and who they are. The platform also uses web crawl data to collect information on YouTube channels, podcasts, Subreddits, and more, then builds systems to intelligently merge this data and produce insights, which is then passed to LLMs to provide additional insights into things like topics of interest. For any given bit of information, SparkToro offers a 0-100 affinity score, the relative degree of usage/subscription/engagement/visitation between an audience and an activity.
