Met at Naples Capodichino, 90-minute private transfer along the coast to your cliff-top hotel in Ravello. Welcome dinner on the terrace.

A morning walking-tour through Ravello with a garden historian, followed by a quieter-side-of-Amalfi itinerary: lunch above the town at a family-run trattoria, paper-mill tour, and an hour at the water in Atrani (Amalfi's quieter neighbor).

Full boat day. Li Galli islands, a stop in Positano for an espresso, secluded swim coves inaccessible from land, lunch on board. Return by late afternoon.

We enter Pompeii when the gates open, with a private archaeologist, and leave before the coach groups arrive. Lunch at a producer in the Monti Lattari, then drive to Pompeii hotel for an easy afternoon.

Four hours by road, breaking the journey with a morning in Matera's sassi district (UNESCO, and a world away from anywhere else you'll visit). Arrive in Ostuni by evening.

Morning walk of the white-hill town. Afternoon at a 200-hectare olive farm with a three-generation producer: grove walk, oil tasting, and a long late lunch.

The trulli of Alberobello in the morning, then a quieter afternoon in Locorotondo (our favorite of the Valle d'Itria's hilltop towns). Leisurely dinner in the valley.

A full day in Lecce with a private architecture guide. Lunch at La Torre del Merlo, some free time, and an evening passeggiata. Overnight in a restored masseria.

Morning at the Otranto seafront, a cliff walk, and lunch at our preferred restaurant in the old town. Farewell dinner back at the masseria.
